  • I was born in the Kolatan village of Masalli region in 1956.
  • I have graduated from the history faculty of Baku State University with honours diploma in 1973-1978.
  • Since 1984 I have been working in the department “Source Studies, historiography and methods”.
  • I am married and I have two sons.

  • I have graduated from the history faculty of Baku State University in 1978.
  • I have maintained Ph.D. thesis in the theme “Historiography of building and becoming stronger of Soviet power in Azerbaijan” in 1989.
  • I have maintained thesis for a doctor’s degree in the theme “Historiography of the problem of turkish-muslim genocide in 1917-1918” in 2004.

Work Experience

  • I have worked history teacher in Masalli region in 1978-1981, cabinet chief in the “Philosophy” department of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in 1982-1984, head laboratory assistant, teacher, head teacher, assistant professor at the Department of Source of Studies, Historiography and Methodology of History faculty of Baku State University in 1984-1999, since 1999 I have been working in the post of chief in the same department.
  • I am carring out lectures and seminars on the subjects Historiograpy of Azerbaijan history, Sources of Azerbaijan history, Urgent problems of history science, Methodological problems of historical investigations and organize scientific discussions with students during I worked. I am the author of 5 programs and 200 scientific articles, also I have written positive opinion for printing of the more than 20 programs. 4 persons had maintained Ph.D. thesis under my leadership. 3 persons post-graduate, 6 persons candidate for a degree are proceeding on their research works under my leadership
  • Historiography of genocide implemented against turkish-muslim population in 1917-1920 have been brought to Azerbaijan community for the first time.
  • I have been rewarded with wrist-watch of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and “Altun” gold medal according to my interesting lecture in the international scientific conference dedicated to 75 annual of the Republic of Turkey in 1998 in Ankara. I have been rewarded with “Gold breast emblem” according to my services in the investigating of the Turkey and Azerbaijan history in December 2008.

Area of research

  • The problem of genocide against turkish-muslim population implemented in 1918-1920.

Participation in the international conferences, symposiums and seminars

  • I have given talks in International conferences held in Turkey Republic in 1998 and 2008, in Baki 2005 and 2008, in Lankaran in 2008
  • I collaborate with some prominent historians of the Turkic World including together with American historian Justin Maccarthy connected with the problem of turkish-muslim genocide at present.
  • I am a member Council of Patrons of Investigate Fund of the Azerbaijan-Turkey History, a member of editorial office of the journals of “Kalam”, “History and its problems”.
