The brief biographic information

  • He was born in 25th august, 1938, in Berjan village of Yardimli region of Azerbaijan Republic.
  • In 1953 he graduated from the 7th form of the secondary school in Berjan village, and in 1956 he graduated from the 10th form of the secondary school in Qolocaq village
  • In 1958 he graduated from the specialized Pedagogic school in Lenkaran with distinguished diploma.

Education,Academic Degrees Obtained

  • In 1967 he graduated from the History faculty of Baku State University with distinguished diploma.
  • In 1981 he defended the candidature dissertation, named “Turkey and Balkan pact (the foreign policy problems of Turkey in Balkans in 1929-1938s)”.
  • In 2006 he defended the doctoral dissertation, named “Turkey and Greece in the attitudes of the great powers (1914-1923s)”.

Work Experience

  • From September to November of 1958 he worked as a teacher in the secondary school in Shixlar village of Yardimli region.
  • From the December, 1958 to 1961 he implemented his duty in the Army.
  • From the September, 1961 to the December, 1972 he worked as a teacher in the secondary school in Berjan village of Yardimli region.
  • From 1973 he worked as a teacher in the department of the “General History”, and from 1979 he worked as a teacher in the department of the “New and modern history of the European and American countries” of Baku State University.
  • From 1985, he worked as docent, and from the April, 2008, as substitution of professor in this department.
  • He teaches the subject of “The modern history of the European and American countries” in bachelor degree, and the subjects of “The USA-Great Britain relations post-World War II”, “The Balkan problems and the international relations” in master degree.
  • He is the author of 100 articles, 2monographs, and 2 books.
  • In 1971 he was awarded with the “For brave labor” medal.

Area of research

  • General history, “The Cyprus issue in the relations of Turkey and Greece in the post- World War II years (1945-in the beginnings of XXI century)”.

Participation in the international conferences, symposiums and seminars

  • In 1979 he was participated in the Union-wide conference, which was organized in Lvov.
  • In 1989 he was participated in the international conference, organized in Sophia and in other conferences, organized in the Azerbaijan Republic.
