Docent of the faculty history, Baku State University Elvira Latifova, made presentation in IX International Simposium about The world languages turkic


On October 16-18-, 2019 in Samsun city, Republic of Turkey with official support of organization Turk Dili Gurumu, provided by Yunus Emre Institute at theSamsun municipality and University named after May 19 was held XI International Simposiume about the world languages turkic.

The Dunya Dili Turkce Symposium was for the first held in 2008 in Ankara and has since been one of the most prestigious international symposia in Turkey and to entire Turkic world, held annually in various cities of Turkey.

This symposium, which was attended by 300 speakers from around the world,was represented by an assistant professor of the Baku State University in faculty of history, from Department of the History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages, Ph.D. Elvira Letifova.

. It should be noted that Elvira Letifova participated in seven of the eleven annual symposium held annually and was included to Organization Scientific Committee several times. This time, Associate Professor Elvira Letifova made a presentation on the topic “From the History of Use by Russian Empire in the XVIIIth-XIXth Centuries. In their Caucasian policy, Turkic language as the language of diplomacy.The report aroused by the great interest among the participants of the symposium.

Elvira Letifova also took an active part in the hearings and discussions sessions.On the last day of the symposium, the Organizing Committee conducted a familiarization tour of the historic sites of Samsun.
