FAZAIL FEYRUZ IBRAHIMLI (1951) Historian

Fazail Ibrahimli was born on 12 April 1951. From 1968 to 1973, he studied at Azerbaijan Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of History. From 1979 to 1982, he did postgraduate studies in history at Baku State University. In 1986, he defended a PhD thesis, and achieved a ScD degree in 1998. In 1982, he was made a lecturer at BSU. From 1982 to 1989, he worked at the Department of History of Communist Party of USSR and from 1989 to 1999 at the Department of Political History. He has been a professor at the Department of History of Azerbaijan since 2000. He is a member of the Scientific Council, Faculty of History, BSU. Fazail Ibrahimli has published 60 papers, two monographs and two books. He has also published three study programs on political history and history of Azerbaijan. He was a member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
