• Farajov Shafayat Faraj oglu was born on December 11, 1958 in the village of Nuwedi of the Magri district of the Armenian SSR.

• In 1981-1987 he studied at the History Department of the Azerbaijan State University.
• The decision of the COMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC WORK ATTESTATION of 16.11.2015 under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in History.

WORK ACTIVITIES

• In 1976-1981 he worked as a brigadier in the Nuclear collective farm.
• In 1989 he was appointed to the position of the chief laboratory assistant of the Scientific-Research Laboratory of "Historical Demography" at Baku State University.
• Since 2001 he has been a researcher in the section "Azerbaijanis of the World: History - Demography" of the Scientific Research Center "Azerbaijan Studies".
• 2013, World Azerbaijanis: Historical demographics have shifted ETL to the position of senior research fellow. Since 2014 he has been a leading research fellow at the "World Azerbaijanis: History - Demography" ETL.
