- Dostiyev Tarikh was born in 1955 year on the 23 march in Baku city locally district Zabrat.
- Archeologist, doctor of the history science in 1981 year graduated History faculty in Baku State University.
Education,Academic Degrees Obtained
- Excellent defended PhD on subject “Medieval archeological monuments in North-east Azerbaijan (XI-XIII) centuries”, defended in session of specialize counselor at Moscow State University.
- In 2004 year at the PhD consular meeting in Archeology and Ethnography Institute in Azerbaijan Academy State Science defended thesis for a Doctor's degree on subject “North- east Azerbaijan (historical archeology researches)”
Work Experience
- 1982-1984 years worked on probation at the chair of Archeology in Moscow State University, specialized on medieval archeology.
- From 1981 active take part in archeology expedition like in locally district town of Azerbaijan Shabran and Guba-Khachmaz expeditions.
- He also was in charge of excavation of the medieval settlements as Seidly, Salmanbulaq, Jakhingir, Qariq Keseman, Qajialli, medieval city Shamkir.
- He is the author of the two monographs, one book the course of archeology (school-book), approximately 130 science articles.
- He is responsible editor and one of the author the book consist in IV volume “Azerbaijan archeology”.
- Since 1990 year work in Azerbaijan Studies Center in Baku State University, gives the lectures on archeology. Created the studying programs “Basic of archeology”, “Archeology in Azerbaijan”.
Area of research
- The main of his works are dedicating to the history of living culture in Azerbaijan, and further the problems of social-economy and cultural developments of the Middle Age cities.
- Phase I study of medieval cities in Azerbaijan, medieval towns of history and topography

- He participated in various international science forums like in Azerbaijan, Russian Federation, Georgian, Qirghzistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Iran presented with science reports archeology of Azerbaijan.
