AMRAH NEMAT DADASHOV (1939) Historian

Amrah Dadashov was born on 29 June 1939. From 1960-1963, he did his military service. From 1963 to 1966, he studied at Baku Library Studies Vocational School, Department of Cultural Enlightenment. In 1967, he studied at Baku State University, Faculty of History, graduating in 1973. During his student years he was employed at the Military Affairs Unit and as a laboratory assistant at the Department of World History, Faculty of History, raising through the ranks to professorship. He defended a PhD thesis in 1986, and achieved a ScD degree in 2004. He was made a professor in 2006. Amrah Dadashov has published more than 100 papers, monographs, handbooks, study programs for bachelors and masters, and methodological handbooks. He is secretary of the Scientific Council, Faculty of History, deputy dean of the faculty`s Department for Correspondence Education, chair of Free Trade Unions Organization under the faculty, and also sits on Thesis Council, Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, ANAS.
