- Sofiyeva Kamala Mahad qızı was born in 1972 in Baku.
- From 1979 to 1989 she studied in secondary school, № 173.
- From 1989 to 1994 she was a full-time student of the Faculty of History at Baku State University.

- 1998-2005 - scientific worker in the SRC “Azerbaijan Studies” at BSU
- 2005-up to date - she works as a teacher in the Department of “The History of Asian and African countries”.
- She conducts courses on “The history of the Near East and the Middle East countries”, “The History of Asian and African countries”, “The History of Iran”, “The History of Turkey”.
- She is the author of 7 articles, 1 book.
