• Graduated from High School No.208, Baku, Azerbaijan in 1952
• Graduated from Department of History, Azerbaijan State University in 1957
• Doctoral Candidate, Tbilisi State University, Title of Dissertation “Ancient Cultural History of West Azerbaijan” in 1964
• Doctor of History, Institute of History, Georgia Academy of Sciences, in 1983-Title of Dissertation “Azerbaijani Culture of Early Bronze Period”

Work Experience

• 1957-58 - Teacher of History and Russian Language, Arus and Mirimli Villagesof Yardimly District of Azerbaijan
• 1958-77 - Department of Archeology and Ethnography, Institute of History, Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan
• 1964-88 - Head of Fizuly Archeological Expedition, Participation in Karabakh, Azix, Saritepe and other Archeological Expeditions
• 1977-present - Department of general History, Department of Ancient and Medieval History, Department of Archeology and Ethnography, Baku State University
• 1989-1990 - turer in Tubingen University, Germany
• Author of 6 books, 1 text-book, more than 150 articles
